Frank & Beans Spring Snowboard Spectacular

The most anticipated contest of the season is back for 2013. Yes the fan favorite Frank & Beans' Spring Snowboard Spectacular will be taking place on Sunday April 28th from 6pm -9pm with the Awards Party to follow from 9pm - 2am.

Event organizer Bruce Shearer explains,
"I'm really excited for this years Frank & Beans'. After seven years of holding the event inside a nightclub and dealing with the limitations that come with that senario, we have made the next step in fortifying this contest as a must attend for the Lower Mainlands shredders."

This years event will take place outside with an urban jib set up that has been designed in collaboration with Darrin Schmitz of Snow Park Solutions and with a great amount of support from Red Bull. With the idea of creating a festival atmosphere there will be hot dog vendors, sponsor tents, a riders lounge and all the lights and sounds you'd expect to see at a larger event.

"We went back and forth with a few scenarios  One which included using the Red Bull winch system. After visiting the site, we decide that it would be best to go with a more natural setup. I'm really excited with what we came up with and I think both the riders and the spectators will really be stoked on the event."

THE CONTEST FORMAT
The format for the event will be a Jam sessions with 4 heats. The winner of each heat will move on to the finals.A last chance qualifier will then be held where the top 3 of the LCQ will also advance to the final round. The Final round will consist of  three runs for each rider with the top two scores being combined to decide the winners.

THE AWARDS PARTY
With this event slated to be the last contest of the season it's only fitting that the Awards Party will be a must see event in itself. After the hardware (and free bartabs) are handed out, the party continues inside the Cellar Nightclub featuring headlining performances by THE LORDS with special guest rockers,WHOA SHE's A BABE.
